A fantastic team for a PADI IDC

I did my PADI Divemaster course with Ashley Walker in Queensland in 2013. Ash mentioned he was having a great time working in Thailand with Aussie Divers.

Ash convinced me to head to Phuket and to do my PADI Instructor Development Course with Aussie Divers Phuket.

Darren and the team really made the course a couple of weeks to remember.

Ash recommended that I do PADI IDC online and I am glad that I did. It freed me up to work on other parts of the course and even let me have a days break in the second week which I really needed.

The support I got through the IDC not only from Darren and Ash but from the whole team was unbelievable. From the moment I arrived in Phuket the whole team from the cleaner (Joy) to Darren the Course Director made me feel like I was a part of their team and not just a customer.

Many thanks to Hua and Nan (office staff), Big (Divemaster), Mike, Nina, Emily, Martin and Andre as well as the staff at Happy Days for a fantastic two weeks.

I highly recommend doing you PADI IDC with Aussie Divers Phuket.

I just wanted to quickly thank all the Aussie Divers staff instructor's and the amazing PADI Course Director - Darren Gaspari. I must say I had a great time while I was completing my PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) and PADI Instructor Exams (IE) during Aug/Sept. I passed my PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor exams while I was there and wanted to thank Darren and his team for the exceptional professionalism they showed during preparation for my certification. The Aussie Divers team of PADI staff instructors, master instructors and course directors also made it a quite challenging, yet fun, experience. After doing the IDC pro [...]

Do I Need to Know How To Swim to be a Scuba Diving Instructor?

The short answer is YES, yes you do. This is simply because as a PADI scuba diving instructor you are an ambassador for the oceans and scuba diving as a sport, which also means promoting safety and comfort in the water for your customers and students when you are teaching. Without quality swimming skills and your own personal in water comfort being of an extremely high level, you will simply never be a ' great scuba diving instructor' if the medium in which you teach is always frightening to you because you know you can't swim effectively without a flotation device that will shine through in your teaching. When an instructor is 10 [...]
