The Specialty That’s The Most Advantageous To Have

The Specialty That’s The Most Advantageous To Have

There Is One Specialty You Will Teach More Of

That specialty is the PADI Enriched Air Diver, or Nitrox as it’s more commonly referred to these days. It is the specialty you will constantly be asked about by customers and students and it’s a great way to earn a little bit of extra money from your Open Water or Advanced Diver courses, so it’s is essential for prudent instructors to have this instructor specialty.

If you book a Package Deal with Aussie Divers Phuket for your IDC, we throw in Enriched Air Diver specialty training completely free, that is how important it is. Being an instructor without that specialty is a bit like being a one armed baseball player, sure you can do it, but why hamstring yourself?

Remember that the more specialties you can teach, the more you can earn when working as an instructor, the more courses you can sell to your customers and many dive shops and liveaboards will offer commission when you upgrade your divers into specialty courses.

Why Is The Nitrox Specialty So Popular?

That’s a good question, but I think the simple answer is that, the course ‘is super easy’, technically it doesn’t even require you to dive, to complete it you need to analyse a tank of Nitrox, but not dive on it. So again this is another reason why this specialty is great for you as an instructor because it’s a great way to up-sell some more fun diving while on Nitrox so the customer gets the full experience.

For customers as well, diving on a different gas blend is cool, being able to stay deeper for slightly longer is exciting and excitement sells courses and keeps people diving and learning.

It’s Fundamental To Scuba Diving Physics

During your Nitrox specialty training, you will of course be adding to your knowledge of how Nitrox works and why we use it in diving. This knowledge is truly fundamental to scuba diving, understanding the gases involved and what effects they have on a person while diving is essential knowledge for all instructors.

If you are interested in continuing your diving education or are planning on doing technical or cave diving then again this specialty is critical in understanding why you would want to use different gases, the course will also teach you how to explain these concepts to students in simple and easy to understand ways.

Final Words

If you haven’t done your Enriched Air Diver Instructor Specialty, then don’t hesitate to rectify the gap in your teaching ability and diver toolkit. Contact us today and book your course!

Tanguy Metz

Tanguy Metz PADI Open Water Instructor I decided to become a dive instructor 3 years ago. I wanted out of the europeean stress and completely change life style but I didn't want to do that in a hurry or the cheapest and fastest way, what I wanted was a good diving education. So after few year of practice, AOW, Rescue and DM course in Belgium, I started looking online for the right place to do my IDC....and it's a dive center in Indonesia(kind of far from Phuket) who recommended me Aussie Divers Phuket. I checked it out and after all the good critics I read (over 1000), I tought: This can only be a great place to do it. And I was righ [...]

Donald Booker

I did my PADI Divemaster course with Ashley Walker in Queensland in 2013. Ash mentioned he was having a great time working in Thailand with Aussie Divers. Ash convinced me to head to Phuket and to do my PADI Instructor Development Course with Aussie Divers Phuket. Darren and the team really made the course a couple of weeks to remember. Ash recommended that I do PADI IDC online and I am glad that I did. It freed me up to work on other parts of the course and even let me have a days break in the second week which I really needed. The support I got through the IDC not only from Darren and Ash but from the whole team was unbelie [...]

We have been talking for a long time about re-designing our web presence to match the level of enthusiasm we have for all things related to scuba diving in Phuket, Thailand. We wanted to build a web site that could not just inform people about what we do, but one that would create a medium by which we could truly communicate with our current and future customers. We wanted a web site that you could view any where and on any device, and we definitely wanted it to be simple and easy to use. So with that in mind, welcome to our brand new web site, dedicated to bringing the Aussie Diver experience to more people than ever before, and to help bring awareness of the issues we face and the good times we have diving here in Phuket! A Diving Community What is a diving community? Well that is exactly what Aussie want to help people understand. We are not just a dive shop, we are a larger group of diving individuals with a common thread that links us all together, that thread is scuba diving, that thread is protection of the marine environment, that thread is being updated on what we can do to play our part so that the health of the worlds oceans and reefs improves and does not decline. Communities can be powerful voices for change, or they can just be a cool place to get information and find dive buddies. So we want you to come with us and be part of our dive community, a big Aussie Divers family, right here in Phuket! Mobile Friendly Today there is not much point having a web site if you can't look at it on your mobile or tablet. So we have worked hard to make sure everything on our new web site works nicely even on the smallest of screens. That way you guys can look up information on courses, day trips, dive site and read our blog with out the hassle of re-sizing and wrestling with your device! Zippy & Relevant The new web site is quite a bit faster than the old one, we've done away with embedded video and third party plugins so that we can deliver you a blisteringly fast web site experience. You should quite easily be able to browse our new site with any device or internet connection available to you! We have also worked extremely hard at updating our content to be more relevant and less like reading a text book or thesis. Have a look at some of our course pages and you will notice a big focus on visual story telling rather than mountains of text. We know your time is valuable, so we only include the important stuff, you can leave all the little details to us and if there is something you want to know, just send us an email, we are always happy to hear from you! Easier To Get Around You may have noticed how on the new web site the menu will follow you as you scroll the page, this makes it super easy to navigate the web-site, and we have kept the options simple. Contacting Us I think we may have already said it once or twice, but Aussie Divers is not just about diving, the customer experience to us is paramount, and as such we are always available to chat and answer your questions.
